This is a digital temperature recorder for one of our small clinics which use a medium-sized fridge to keep their vaccines and other cold chain products.
It gives the maximum and minimum temperatures inside the fridge as well as outside and serves as an appropriate temperature monitoring
The refrigerator holds vaccines used in the immunisation of babies. It also holds insulin products as well as ophthalmic products and other temperature sensitive products.
This is the temperature chart that is used to document and monitor the temperature readings. Readings are recorded from Monday's to Saturday's . Not on Sunday's and public holidays. Because the clinic is not open on those days.
Temperature readings are taken twice daily, with the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded by the Sister on duty.
Dear Delali, Thank you for submitting this. The temp chart shows that temperature in general is between 7-10 deg C, which makes the avarege around 8.5 deg C, which is already beyond the upper recommended limit. This brings such questions in mind:
ReplyDelete1. What is the calibration status of the device?
2. [I assume] The fridge is a domestic one, no?
3. Where is the fridge located? Does it receive direct sunlight? How close is it to the wall?
4. Is the door properly sealed?
5. What is the thermostat setting?
6. Do you have any "DO-LIST" in place when the temperature is measured below or above recommended limits?
Cheers and all the best, UMIT
Dear Delali, thanks for your posting.
ReplyDeleteIn your refrigerator has two temperature monitoring, isn't it? And the staff who reading the temp has to record both 2 temp mornitor and write down in the form?
In my country, follow decision No. 1730 (Ministry of Health Vietnam) from 1/06/2014, staffs have to monitor temp. twice a day ( both Saturday and Sunday and public holiday).
And refrigerator that keep vaccines only keep vaccines, unauthorized keep both vaccines with drugs, foods... to avoid accidentally injected.
